On Saturday, August 8, 2026, Access to Education in Africa (AEA) was delighted to hold its first school kit distribution of the 2026 back-to-school campaign in the locality of Ouèdèmé, in Benin.
Thanks to the generosity of our donors, the support of our partners and the commitment of our volunteers, 84 pupils received a complete school kit to prepare for the new school year in better conditions.

The day took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, in the presence of local representatives, the district chief, the social worker, parents’ representatives, partners, volunteers, and the children and their families.

Beyond the distribution of kits, this meeting was a true moment of sharing and solidarity. The children’s smiles, the parents’ gratitude and the encouragement of local authorities showed the impact of this initiative. Several residents told us they had never before experienced such an action in their locality, which makes this day even more memorable.

We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of this distribution: our donors, our partners, our volunteers, the local authorities and everyone mobilised in the field. Your trust and commitment turn gestures of solidarity into concrete opportunities for children.
This first step marks the beginning of our 2026 back-to-school campaign.

Very soon, our team will travel to Adjagbo for a second school kit distribution, so that new children can benefit from this support.
Together, let us continue to open the doors of education and give every child the means to build their future.

Thank you to everyone for your trust and commitment alongside us.
